Prankster Fools German TV And Accepts Award Posing As Ryan Gosling

How did he get away with this?!

We've all done it, right? With the help of a decent wingman we've pretend to be a celebrity to worm our way into an event, nightclub with a bottle on the house... the possibilities are endless.

Well, it's even better if you actually LOOK like the celebrity you're imitating.

Meet Ludwig Lehner, a German chef who posed last night as Ryan Gosling.

He managed to convince a TV show in his homeland that he was the Hollywood star, even having the balls to go on stage and accept an award for his role in La La Land.

It all came from a stunt pulled by two German comedians. They created a fake acting agency and promised TV bosses that Gosling would make an appearance if given an award.

The show was the Goldene Kamera awards (no prizes for the English translation) - the equivalent to the British BAFTAs.

It was packed with famous faces, no impersonators, including fellow La La Land stars Nicole Kidman and Jane Fonda.

Ludwig fooled no one though, as the audience quickly became aware the man in front of them was NOT Ryan Gosling.

But before he disappeared off stage there was still time for a quick acceptance speech.

"I am Ryan Gosling, I dedicate this award to Joko and Klass, thank you very much," the prankster said.

"There is a saying in Hamburg which is bye bye."

And with that he was gone - Ludwig was back to cooking Schnitzels and Strudels.

Ludwig wasn't the first to try such a stunt, nor will he be the last...

One man who is famed for pulling such stunts is Lee Nelson - remember when he posed his alter ego, Jason Bent, who had supposedly signed for Manchester City?

He took to the field in the pre-match warm-up with Everton four years ago. To be fair, he lasted a good couple of minutes after emerging from the tunnel before anyone noticed.

Then there's 'Fake Psy' - Frenchman Denis Carre firstly convinced fans that he was the real deal in a Dublin nightclub, before fooling everyone at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

In fact, he was so good that he was only busted when the real Psy tweeted to say he was in Singapore.

Fair play to them. I would not have the nerve to try this.
