When you want to follow your dreams, usually your family go along with it, even when you're pretty average or terrible at what you're trying to do.

But one member of Honey G's clan has reportedly said the X Factor rap artiste should stop embarrassing herself, according to the Daily Star.

Fair shout.

The performer has currently done renditions of Diana Ross's 'I'm Coming Out', Tupac's 'California Love' and last did Vanilla Ice's 'Ice Ice Baby' on Saturday.

Here's here rendition of 'California Love'.

The classic freestyling includes lyrics such as:

'It's Honey G's time to shine'

'Everybody put your hands in the air'.

'It's Honey G's time... everyone put your hands in the air now'.

'H to the O to the N to the E to the Y to the G it's Honey G.

'H to the O to the N to the E to the Y to the G it's Honey G'.

'When I say Honey, you say G'

'Honey'

'G'

'Honey'

'G'.

'When I say Honey, you say G'

'Honey'

'G'

'Honey'

'G'.

Let's just leave it at that.

A close family member reportedly said they find it difficult to watch the show as they feel she is realistically being ridiculed in front of the nation.

The relative apparently stated: "To the nation Honey G is funny to watch but to her family it's embarrassing.

Honey G, real name Anna Gilford, 35, has supposedly been in the shadow of her older sister her whole life, according to the source (we all know that feeling), and this attempt at fame is detrimental, rather than inspiring.

"She has always lived in the shadow of her sister and finally this is her time to get attention, but it's painful to watch.

"Anna is a very sensitive soul and to watch her being mocked by the nation is upsetting."

This source is clearly not her mother, who has been supportive of her and G'd along to her performances.

John Legend also basically described her performances as a bag of actual shit:

"To me, I think part of it is about choosing which songs you do and trying to execute the mechanical of being a good rapper, it's about flow, it's about how you use your voice, how you communicate to the audience so I tried to be as kind and sensitive as I could be."

Code for 'utterly terrible'.

Recently, 50 Cent has come out to support her by saying she is not racist, while Snoop Dogg has said she has talent, presumably while stoned off his face.
