Man Sees Girlfriend For First Time... And Guess What He Looks At First

Predictable male.

If you regained your vision, having previously been blind or visually impaired, what would be the first thing you'd want to see?

Louisiana resident Hunter Tribe, who suffers from a degenerative eye condition, found himself in the rare position of being able to try out some new glasses to help him see more clearly.

He appeared on the Rachael Ray Show alongside his girlfriend, Brittney Reed, and scientist Chelsea McDonald, who explained how the glasses worked. Using a series of cameras, manipulations and adjustments, Hunter was told he'd be able to see again.

As you can see in the footage below, she attaches the glasses (which cost $15,000) to his face, turns on the computer, and suddenly we can see what he's watching. He can see the audience - it's a great start.

And then he turns to his girlfriend. As she begins to cry, knowing that he can see her, his head lowers.

Yes, there's only one thing he wants to check out straight away! Ok, two things...

Host Rachael steps in: "Don't stare at her boobs, look up," she shouts.

But by then, it's too late, and naturally those in the Reddit community were soon ready to jump on this classic man behaviour.

After the break, the show comes back to Hunter.

"I'm getting the hang of it, using my eyes," he says, turning to Brittney. "But there's only one thing that could make this better: if you become my wife."

Yes, Hunter gets down on one knee, and thankfully, despite his earlier faux pas, she says yes!

The couple got married a week later on the show - the condition for which Hunter got down on one knee.

Not all visually impaired people are lucky enough to receive a hi-tech solution like Hunter's, of course. Still, there are plenty of characters who find ways to make light of their situation.

People like YouTuber Tommy Edison, who has been blind since birth. He goes by the name of "The Blind Film Critic" and tries to see the funny side of his disability

He was recently given a challenge to draw things, given by his subscribers, as to what he thinks they look like. Ever the LAD, Tommy went ahead, and you can see the results in the video above.
