There are few things more satisfying than playing a successful prank on someone. Actually that's not true, there are loads. But when that prank involves tricking a whole restaurant (is Burger King a restaurant though?) into doing something dumb, that must be pretty damn satisfying.
It's also exactly what happened in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, on Friday, The Independent reported.
A man called the store claiming to be from the fire department to say there was explosive gas inside the building. He then instructed that the only way to expel all that gas was to smash all the windows in the building, so that's exactly what the staff did.
Police later arrived on the scene to find staff still trying to smash windows.

"The manager was frantic and actually believed the building was going to blow," Sergeant Rick Boone told local newspaper Star Tribune.
The caller "said there were dangerous levels of gas in the building and [that staff] had to break out all the windows to keep the building from blowing up," Boone added.
The employees then got tire irons from their cars to put the windows through in a state of panic.
Talking to CNN, Captain Tom Hawley said: "About 20 windows were busted out... He [the caller] was very convincing. He seemed to have knowledge of fire suppression systems and acted like he was monitoring the building remotely."
Officers are now investigating the identity of the caller. Apparently an Oklahoma BK received a similar call the previous night.

Is this the eve of America's great BK window smashing crime wave? Probably not.
And if you want to see arguably the greatest prank of all time again, watch this...
