Why Not Watch 'The Mountain' From Game Of Thrones Throwing A Washing Machine?

You'd assume Game of Thrones star Hafþór "The Mountain" Björnsson spends whatever time he has away from the production of the HBO hit either talking about or watching Game of Thrones. Alas, it turns out that the strongman has bigger fish to fry. When I say 'fish' I mean 'washing machines' and when I say 'fry' I mean 'throw.'

Yep, Björnsson doesn't endorse political candidates or promote aftershave or sell ghostwritten books and all the rest of it. He looks at washing machines, thinks 'I can have that', picks it up and fucking launches it as far as he possibly can to put himself in the record books. Good man.

Watch as Björnsson competes against fellow hench-bloke Zydrunas Savickas - arguably the most strongman name imaginable - on the Italian version of the Guinness World Records show to toss a 46kg (101.5lbs) washing machine.

Both men have two shots at succeeding, after which Savickas walks away victorious.

Björnsson recently spoke about his character's future, saying "I think I'm going to get killed at some point. How, I don't know. Maybe I get killed by a dragon, I'm not sure. I guess it's going to be quite brutal, I guess I'm going to be in a big war against dragons or something like that but who knows? They don't tell us anything. I really don't know."
