Following Oasis splitting up, and the disbandment of Liam Gallagher's band, Beady Eye, the Britpop legend has dipped in and out of headlines over the years.

Primarily connecting with the world via Twitter, Liam is as funny as he always has been - see Noel Gallagher potato rants for reference.

Now, in an interview with Q magazine, the singer revealed that he's demoed some songs, and they'll be ready to be released next year, which, y'know, is fucking mega.

He also spoke of how his new girlfriend, Debbie Gwyther, 'saved him' after his split from ex-wife Nicole Appleton, and the end of Beady Eye. More notably, though, he told Q that he once got in trouble for pestering Jamie Oliver for food while drunk.

"It's like Stella Street, round here: Jamie Oliver lives up the road," he said. "I got told off for throwing stones at his windows pissed-up, asking him to chuck down some bacon rolls."

I've got an awful lot of fucking time for that. If a celebrity chef is living on your road, of course you're going to get pissed and ask for some food. Fucking brilliant.

Of course, it wouldn't have been a Liam Gallagher interview if he wasn't asked about Oasis reforming.

Liam, who was the front man for the iconic group, said that if older brother Noel doesn't want him back in the band, then he doesn't want to be back in the band.

He said: "I am not embarking on a solo career. Everybody should know that. There are just 10, 11 songs I've written that are eligible to be recorded.

"They've got flair, attitude, the melodies are sick and the words are fucking funny.

"I believe Oasis will sail again and it'll be glorious. If it's really about the fans, Noel, let's do it - because they want it. One year. Tour for a year.

"We'd smash it. My bags are still packed from my last tour, so I'm ready."

Hint, hint, Noel. Make it happen.

Oasis are probably nowhere near any kind of reforming, so until then, it's okay to enjoy Noel and his High Flying Birds, as well as Liam's forthcoming solo project.
