The world is full of mysteries, like what happens after we die or what dark matter actually is. But one teenager has really put the cat among the pigeons by questioning many of the things we take for granted, like the wind and money.

Katie Pearce shared her video to TikTok, called 'Things I Don't Understand', and has since been branded one of 'the greatest thinkers of our time'.

The 17-year-old takes the opportunity to run through a list of everyday things that many of us would never think of questioning, including how everyone fits on Earth and why the oceans are so deep.

In the hilarious video, which has been liked over 12,600 times and shared many thousands more since it was posted, Katie says: "Things I don't understand. The wind. What, like, what is it? How? What is wind? I don't get it, I never will.

"Money. Why don't we just print loads of money off? Like, why, then no one would be poor, I just don't get it.

"The world. How is it one of the smallest planets but then nine billion people live on it, and animals. Don't get it. How? Why?

"Electricity. I know it comes from the pylons but how does it get to the pylons? Like, what? Bit confusing, will never understand that.

"The number 11. Why is is 11 and not 'onety-one', like 22, 33... Like, 11, who thought of that? Don't like it.

"The ocean. How is it so deep? Why is it so deep? Don't get it.

"I just don't understand space. I don't get it, like, I just don't get it. What? Just confuses me."

And finally: "Naming things. Who looked at something and was, like, 'that's the sky'. What?"

Since Katie posted her parody, she has been praised by people online, with some going so far as to call her a genius.

Sharing the video on Twitter, one fan said: "She is the greatest thinker of our times imo agree on all counts she's right and she should say it."

And while she confirmed to LADbible that it was just meant to be a joke, there were plenty of people who felt she made some strong arguments.

"Literally she's so brave and true," commented one.

A second fan praised her, saying: "She has a point about eleven. Where did that come from? And twelve tbh. Why aren't they oneteen and twoteen?"

"OK onety-one makes some points," wrote a third.

While another added: "Honestly she makes a lot a of good points. Continuously giving it to us with every question. I hope she starts a cult named Onety One."
