Shearer, Lineker, And Ferdinand Filmed Singing 'Three Lions' After A Few Drinks

There's a pretty large wave of positivity going around the country just now, and this can be felt all those hundreds of miles away in Russia, too.

Alan Shearer, Gary Lineker, and Rio Ferdinand have a pretty easy job at the best of times, but right now, as ex-England players, watching a good, young, and - dare I say it - likeable, England side overstep everyone's expectations must be a pretty fun task.

They're obviously getting at it between games too, if the footage that has emerged of them singing 'Three Lions' is to be believed.

I mean, just look at their wee faces. Shearer is like everyone's drunk uncle at a wedding. If you want even more fun, I suggest you check out his rendition of Lionel Ritchie's 'All Night Long' complete with breadstick microphone. What a time to be alive.

As for England. They've got to navigate one more tough task and beat Croatia in the semi-final to reach their first final since 1966, and we all know what happened then, right?

With any luck, if it does happen - and I'll not say it so as not to jinx it - we can expect a specially released version of 'Three Lions' that is sung by the whole England team, Alan Shearer, Gary Lineker and Rio Ferdinand.

Is that too much to ask?

That said, Croatia will be a difficult opponent, and then either of France and Belgium in the final is a big ask too.

Croatia snuck past Russia after a heart-breaking penalty shootout saw the hosts eliminated.

England will have been rubbing their hands as that game went the full distance, and beyond. They'll be hoping that it's taken it out of them and left them emotionally and physically drained.

At this stage, they'll fancy their chances against anyone.
