We've heard of 'If you want breakfast in bed, sleep in the kitchen!' but Lidl Ireland is helping you take that commitment to sleeping in proximity to breakfast, lunch and dinner to a whole other level with this bizarre but wonderful new competition.
By simply entering on the official website here, you and a friend will be in with a chance of winning what sounds like a genuinely once in a lifetime opportunity. For one night only, the folks at Lidl Ireland have essentially created an authentic five-star hotel experience right in the heart of one of its brand new superstores, complete with a gourmet restaurant, cinema room and spa - or at least, the Lidl version of these. The exact location is yet to be announced as the store hasn't even opened to the public yet.
Guests will enjoy the perk of their own personal BBQ chef who will be cooking up a storm from the popular discount supermarket's summer food range. There will also be an in-house wine expert on hand to add a touch of class to your evening, hosting a personal wine tasting session to help you unwind with a light bodied, dry or crisp vino from their impressive wine range.
Once your taste buds are satiated, it's off for a trip to the cosmetics aisle for a full beauty treatment where you and your pal will be pampered to your heart's content. Finally, like any good slumber party, the evening will culminate at the cinema space, where you'll be cosying up in front of the big screen for a movie night with snacks and goodies galore.
When all is said and done, you can look forward to hitting the hay in a plush four-poster bed in the middle aisle, located just a short walk away from the cereals & biscuits aisle in case you fancy a midnight snack - who needs a minibar when you have any entire supermarket at your disposal? It's even said to have breath-taking views of the fresh fruit & veg aisle to take in as you enjoy a morning cuppa before this surreal experience comes to an end.
