Gross.

We can all agree, the idea of having a spider put in a sandwich is seriously terrifying. It would ruin sandwiches for life - and that would eliminate a huge staple from anyone's diet.

So, we're all lucky our girlfriend isn't Kirsty Matthews.

The video starts by showing a pretty tasty looking toastie with pepperoni, cheese, ham, jalapenos and some chilli sauce. Kirsty then unveils the final ingredient: an edible zebra tarantula.

The gross little thing is dead, and crumbles as Kirsty picks it apart. She places the arachnid inside and plonks the sandwich in the toaster. Daniel Brookes seems to be enjoying the snack but his smile turns to horror when he spots the spider.

Kirsty then follows Daniel through the house and you can hear him being sick in the bathroom.

Judging by their YouTube channel - they do a lot of food challenges, often including incredibly hot chilli sauce.

She's not the only one trying to prank their partner or family with delicious food. Wrexham-born machine operator and father-of-five Mike Bagnall and his partner, Stacey, set up a trap for their children because their sweets kept going missing under 'mysterious circumstances'.

He's told LADbible about how he would enact his revenge, as he said: "I've been eating spicy foods since I was a kid, and I'll will literally try anything that's hot or spicy. I love it.

"The kids don't take after me. So when it comes to meal times, because my food is always spicy, they never eat anything off my plate. That gave me an idea."

After buying some jam doughnuts from the supermarket, he took a syringe and used it to remove the original filling and replace it with Nando's Extra Extra Hot sauce, left the snacks like he usually does, and went off to work.

Now for anybody feeling like Mike's methods were a bit harsh, it's worth saying that the kids never actually managed to bite into the doughnuts. After they'd discovered the treats, their mum, Stacey, intervened and told them about their dad's prank.
