Contestant On 'The Chase' Labelled 'Hero' For What He'd Spend His Money On

Contestant On 'The Chase' Labelled 'Hero' For What He'd Spend His Money On

The Chase is pretty much the epitome of tea-time entertainment these days. That and Pointless, of course.

It seems that there's nothing better than sitting on your sofa, shouting at the TV with a mouth full of food, saying: "It's B, Angela Merkel, you prat!"

Contestants very rarely get any attention unless they're enough of a dolt to take the lower offer, or really drop the ball on an easy question. Most of the times our eyes are fixed on Bradley Walsh, in the hope that he might have another Fanny Chmelar episode.

This week, though, people were pretty enthralled by Essex railway maintenance worker Danny, who has been labelled a 'hero' after revealing what he'd spend his money on, should he win.

Prior to his cash builder round he said: "I'd take the lads to Amsterdam. I haven't [been], that's why I want to go and look at the tulips and windmills and stuff."

Host Bradley Walsh couldn't help but have a giggle, which obviously means he knows exactly what Danny wants to go there for - he's probably done it himself.

When asked how many of his mates he'd take along, he said that there's currently an indefinite number, given that there's a strict no girlfriend rule.

"I reckon about six or seven but it depends," Danny said. "If any of them say they want to bring their missus it's not going to happen so number might go down, number might go up. It'd be a nice little jolly up."

Sadly, Danny and his cronies won't be jetting off to The Dam as he crashed out, though Sean Wallace, 'The Dark Destroyer', had nice words to say about him.

"You're a card, son. Shake his hand for me," he said to Bradley.

We sincerely hope that Danny somehow manages to raise the funds to take the boys to Amsterdam.
