Grandmother Opens Up 'New' Photo Album To Find Pictures Of Ant McPartlin

Why is this so funny?

Looking back through old photos is always a great nostalgia-inducing activity, sending you back to those times when life was easy and your freedom was endless.

There's always some kind of hidden gem waiting to be uncovered in family albums, like a picture of you shitting in the living room, or pissing down your dad's back. Something that is buried deep beneath the pages of mind.

Daniel Mayes had decided he'd buy his grandmother some new albums so that she could collect more memories, but he was surprised that one of the 'brand new' books he purchased was already filled with pictures from 2002.

He'd told his grandmother, Eileen James, that the set of five was brand spanking new, despite the fact he bought it from a charity shop. But it was all fun and giggles once they realised that they'd ended up with a plethora of pictures of Ant McPartlin holding a child.

Now, you could be forgiven for thinking that, at first glance, he is holding Dec Donnelly - but he's not, it's just a baby of similar size. It is rather odd to see Ant without Dec, though. A bit like cereal without milk, a night out without a kebab or Jose Mourinho without the bullshit.

"I joked we should have copies done of the photos as they are probably worth a fortune. I do want to keep one as a souvenir, though," Eileen said. "I am a big fan of him and Dec, we all watch I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! and I really like all the programmes they do. I think they're both amazing."

Luckily, Eileen said that her Christmas was made when she discovered some of Ant's happy memories in her new album, meaning Daniel could get away with his slight fuck up.

"I have had a really tough year but this has been the most amazing Christmas," Eileen, who is currently undergoing treatment for kidney cancer, said. "Laughter is the best medicine, and I have the best family to help me through anything."

Daniel reckons the gift made his nan's Christmas, and is hopeful that Ant will come along for next year's festivities. He has to bring Dec, though. I don't think people could cope thinking they were apart.
