Brilliant.

For the most part dogs are the greatest thing in the world. A loyal companion, gives you attention, and is always there for you.

There's just one small issue when it comes to our furry friends, and that's the matter of going to the toilet. They shit. A lot.

Though it's party our fault, because we want to feed dogs everything they deserve, they will metaphorically whip their pants down and take a deuce wherever they please. The upshot of this is that there's a massive collection of images with dogs pooing in the background.

All-in-all, even if your dog does ruin a great photo by taking a dump in the background, you just can't stay mad at them. You gotta go when you gotta go.

Anyway, when they're not pooing they're usually doing something of use.

Take Negao for example, a dog who was ditched by his owners at a petrol station when it was a desolate construction site, and went on to land himself a job there.

Negao was found wandering by Sabrina Plannerer and her partner when they got the rights to build a Shell petrol station in the town of Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil.

"We adopted him immediately and got him all the care animals need," she told the Dodo. "We bought him food, a dog house, and a leash to take him on a walk."

But the pleasantries didn't end there. The couple decided to give ol' Negao a job at the garage.

Now, of course, Negao couldn't possibly work behind the till, or clean shop floors, but what he could do was greet customers in the nicest possible way.

Sabrina said: "Customers love him. Some people even bring him toys."

Such is the level of the pup's dedication to the graft, that he chooses to sleep at the station instead of going home with his adopters.

Ever the people pleaser, the mutt has even become a poster dog for a local initiative spearheaded by charity group FERA which seeks help for stray dogs.

Sometimes, life can be ruff. Trying to get by in a world of societal imbalance and injustice can affect our everyday activities. I think Negao serves as an opponent and inspiration to this setback. Long may he bark.
