There have been only a handful of Aussies who have hit it big in meme culture. Corey Worthington made waves in 2008 after throwing a massive party and winding on national television with Kanye West-inspired glasses, acting like a total wanker.

While some may have thought that was the moment where Australian meme culture peaked, a year later we were blessed with Ray Graham. But many will have no clue who that is - they would probably best know him as Dog Man.

Ray graced our screens during A Current Affair to regale his story about a nasty encounter with a neighbour's dog in his street in Marsfield, northwest Sydney.

It was, in a word, terrifying.

Many feared for Ray's wife, Kerry, who stood there looking simultaneously with an expression that suggested 'Jesus, Ray, not this shit again' and 'good god, am I married to this guy?' The short clip sparked several Facebook pages dedicated to Ray and even more parodies and remixes.

CNN even played an audio clip to a pack of dogs who were scared away.

But after nearly a decade away from the spotlight, Ray has resurfaced and been asked about his 15 minutes of fame. He appeared on Central Coast radio show Bree and Gawndy on Hit FM, alongside the legendary Ray Martin.

Not only did they get to interview Ray, but they bloody remixed his dog noises with Ylvis' hit 'The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?)'.

Ray tells the team that, thankfully, the dog isn't across the road from him anymore, so he and Kerry can live in peace. Surprisingly, Ray says Kerry is 'cool with it' and doesn't mind him cranking out the odd rabid dog noise here and there.

But like all minor celebrities, he says that he gets stopped in the supermarket and asked to perform his now-infamous bark.

Channel Nine did a follow up shortly after the clip went viral, with Ray telling them: "It was something I've never done before - it was casual, informal, off the bat.

"It was good, wasn't it? I just love the way it was done."

The unsung hero in all this, Kerry, says she actually doesn't blame Ray for his passion, telling A Current Affair: "He was just so emotional and it just came out. He is a person who's emotional."

For all the attention, Ray and Kerry actually appear really down-to-earth and incredibly lovely people.
