Everyone is fully aware that the highly anticipated return of Clarkson, Hammond and May is well under way, with The Grand Tour being streamed weekly on Amazon Prime.
Plenty of things were a given prior to the series starting. There were going to be explosions, a lot of falling over and it was inevitable that there would be digs at the BBC.
One thing people were unsure about was whether the trio would reference their successors on their former show. They'd previously stated they have no hard feelings towards Chris Evans for snapping up his job on Top Gear, so it was really up in the air what they thought about it all. Until now.

On the most recent episode of The Grand Tour, in which the three hosts attempt to make cars from sustainable materials, Clarkson made a well timed, well thought-out jibe at Evans.
During a test drive comparing the Porsche 911 GT3 RS against the BMW M4 GTS, Jezza couldn't quite believe how much of a mess had been made of the Beamer.
Back in the studio, he said: "I admire BMW for really trying with that car, I really do. But my god, they made a hash of it.
"I'm trying to think of a metaphor, for someone who's really tried their hardest with something, and it hasn't worked."

Looking to his two ever reliable comrades for an answer, both Hammond and May looked quizzed, before Clarkson said: "No, nothing's coming to mind."
This follows the opening of the show where Clarkson recreated his own exit from the Beeb, but this is a lot more savage.

If you haven't seen it already, get on Amazon Prime and get streaming. If you have already watched it, watch it again. Or wait until next week for the next episode. Either way.
