Guy's Rude Reply To 'Automated Text' Really Backfires

Guy's Rude Reply To 'Automated Text' Really Backfires

Awkward.

We've all been there - receiving an automated text message and thinking 'ah fuck this', then sending a reply telling them exactly where to go, because ultimately, there's no repercussions.

At the end of the day, fuck offers from O2 and all that bollocks - unless it's a message informing you Domino's has 50 percent off it's hardly worth it - we want friends, not offers.

Jonathan Hunter Behrle has fallen victim to automated messages, though, as his reply ended up somewhere he really didn't intend.

The Iowa City resident received what he assumed was a spam text, and so sent one straight back saying "stop texting me, I don't give a fuck".

Unfortunately he didn't read the message properly and it turned out that it was offering him the chance to write a birthday message on his friend's Facebook wall.

Unbeknown to Jonathan, him saying he doesn't give a fuck was his greeting to mate April Orcutt, which ended up sat in among a plethora of genuine birthday messages.

The birthday girl replied to the odd wall post saying "Excuse me what?", which prompted Jonathan to post it to Twitter and rack up over 117,000 retweets and almost 400,000 likes.

Replying To Actual Spam

This guy seems to have the perfect solution to receiving spam texts. It turns out that a girl unknowingly uses his number when guys hit on her. Fair enough, I guess - don't want to give out your real one, so make one up.

The man in question has obviously got so used to men messaging him that he's simply decided to pretend to be the girl:
