Being present at the moment of birth is meant to be a special experience. Mothers tend to have no choice in the matter - but dads, on the other hand, may be found either standing outside, in among the midwives, or having their fingers broken by their partner as they squeeze and push.
One teenage dad, Dalo, appeared completely traumatised by what was unfolding before him when he appeared on live television alongside his partner Quintana.
The facial reactions of the young chap are hilarious as his 17-year-old girlfriend gives birth live on Dutch reality show, Vier Handen Op Eén Buik (Four Hands On A Belly).
He also hugs himself tightly and watches wide-eyed in shock.

Once Quintana has safely delivered the baby, Dalo relaxes and eventually plucks up the courage to cut the umbilical cord.
However, the story doesn't end there for the couple - a DNA test is undertaken and the results are revealed later, when they've returned home.

The show's host reveals that Dalo is in fact NOT the child's father (cue Jeremy Kyle) and, understandably, he gets up and storms out the room, slamming the door behind him.
The episode raises so many questions. For a start, given she's clearly hiding something pretty important, why would Quintana want her labour (not to mention the aftermath) filmed for the pleasure of the Dutch population?

There is, weirdly, a happy ending, with the couple still together.
DNA tests can provide the shocking and the unexpected. Like for one couple in Jackson, Mississippi, who found out they were biological twins whilst undergoing IVF treatment.
The couple, who can't be named, were having the egg fertilised outside the womb when a lab assistant noticed something unusual.

An unnamed doctor, told the Mississippi Herald: "It's just a routine thing and we wouldn't normally check to see if there was a relationship between the two samples, but in this case the lab assistant involved was shocked by the similarity of each profile."
The wife, upon finding out the results, 'pleaded' with the doctor to tell them he was joking, but sadly he wasn't.
