Man In Wetherspoons Who Looks Like A Ten Pound Note

Man In Wetherspoons Who Looks Like A Ten Pound Note

Uncanny!

First there was the Jamie Vardy lookalike (who Jamie Vardy had to block on social media), next the Ed Sheeran doppelgänger, and now...

The man who looks like the man from the 10-pound note - Charles Darwin.

Where would you find such a genius, you ask? Spoons of course!

Chef Rob Light was casually sipping the remains of his pint, thinking about ordering the next one when, suddenly, his tenner had come to life!

Sat opposite him was a man with a very much receded hairline and great big bushy beard, but not like the one in Hot Fuzz. No no, this one very much has a likening to the famous naturalist and biologist.

He was even posing very similarly to the way Charles Darwin is depicted!

Darwin, who died back in 1882, has featured on the British note since 2000.

But his 17-year-reign, alongside The Queen (of course), is coming to an end.

From later this year, when the tenner does exactly what the fiver did last year and becomes plastic, Darwin will be replaced by author Jane Austen, best known for Pride and Prejudice.

Rob said it was hard to believe what was in front of him.

"I was just out with friends for a few birthday drinks," he said. "I noticed the elderly gent with an uncanny resemblance to Charles Darwin sat nearby.

"He looked so much like him, and he was even facing the right way.

"I had to take the picture and share it for fun. I definitely owe the guy a drink."

There is no doubt that looking like a celebrity double can win a crowd over... quite literally in the case of this football steward.

A group of fans instantly took a liking to the steward who modestly accepted this chanting.

I guess you could say that these fans were simply 'thinking out loud' (I make no apologies for that).
