Noel and Liam Gallagher are fairly well known guys. In fact, in the 90s they may have been the most famous men in music.

Nowadays their legacy from albums in the last decade of the 20th century still stands, though they're not as instantly recognisable as they once were.

Still, you'd reckon people would be able to tell them apart. Mo Farah can't, though.

Having been in attendance at U2's recent concert at Twickenham, Farah posed with Noel for a photo after his High Flying Birds supported the Irish band.

Uploading the picture to Twitter, the most successful British track athlete in modern Olympic Games history claimed he was with his "boy," but tagged the incorrect Gallagher brother.

Oddly, he got the correct brother on Instagram, tagging @themighti, Noel's account.

LG caught wind of the Tweet, but rather than start any beef, something you may have expected from the 'Wall of Glass' singer, Liam simply went along with it, responding brilliantly.

He wrote on Twitter: "Good to see u2 mo as you were LG x"

In the past, Liam hasn't minced his words when it comes to Bono and his band, claiming he'd rather dine on his own excrement than go and see them.

When asked if he'd be showing his face during the Joshua Tree 30th anniversary tour, he Tweeted "rather eat my own shit than listen to them bunch of beige fucks."

Noel, being the special guest for the British leg of the tour, hit back at his younger brother's words in an Instagram post.

He wrote: "We are pretty much ready. The tunes have been given a good polish. Everyone has been reacquainted. We have new members!

"We are very much looking forward to seeing old friends and maybe making some new ones but what we are most excited about is sampling the delights of The U2 Catering Experience... widely regarded as THE MOST superior catering experience anywhere in the music business.. See you out front."

He then signed off with: "AS YOU WEREN'T..KISS-KISS.. NG," referencing LG's famous Twitter sign off: "as you were."

Can't you just be mates, LADs? Come on.
