New 'Stripper Trousers' Don't Leave Much To The Imagination

New 'Stripper Trousers' Don't Leave Much To The Imagination

Knickers not included...

A fast fashion chain has caused a bit of a stir with their new crotchless pants, which shoppers have called 'stripper trousers'.

The trousers at the centre of the uproar are Fashion Nova's 'see through coverup chaps'. The term see through coverup seems somewhat of a contradiction IMO, but at £19 they're a steal.

The sheer pants have flared legs with ruffles on the side and are high waisted.

They wouldn't be 'chaps' without that weird cut out bit. The cut out nicely shows your crotch area and bum. Knickers aren't included, but then why would they be?

Ok...
Ok...

So yeah, maybe they do channel Christina Aguilera circa 2002, but they're also the perfect accessory for your upcoming summer holiday.

Some fans completely love the crotchless creation, calling them 'cute', 'sweet' and 'ideal for a holiday.

But not all agree.
One user commented: "What's the point of them then?

like she looks gorgeous AF but what's the point of a "coverup" that doesn't "coverup".

Another posted: "Cover up hmm? What exactly is it supposed to cover? Its cute but not a cover up."

Someone else said: "Dude. I love your clothes and all, but those are not even pants."

"If you're not keen on the peach colour, they also do them in Black, Neon Pink, Lime And Peach. So take your pick.

I'm not sure you'd get away with them in the office but you could on holiday, on the beach and maybe, depending on your confidence levels on a night out. With the onset of festival season just around the corner, I can definitely see them knocking around fields in the rain.

Although most of us are happy with a bit of glitter at festivals, some of us like to go a bit further. A group of models were spotted showing off some new designs at Ultra Festival in Miami, where they were no doubt turning a few shocked heads - because they were wearing electrical tape for clothes. Yep, you read that right.

The outfits are the brainchild of alternative swimwear and fashion designer Joel Alvarez, who often uses body tape for his unusual fashions for his company, The Black Tape Project.

On the company's website, Alvarez explains where the idea stemmed from, writing: "One day in 2008 I was a rookie photographer who was working with a model that suggested I use electrical tape [on] her for the last look.

"I honestly had no idea why she would want this but to make her happy I attempted to use this tape as wardrobe. Essentially I just wrapped her in black electrical tape!"
