A pair of prankster parents have gone viral after pulling the ultimate joke on their three-year-old with the use of Nutella spread.

Frankie was duped by his mum and dad who took inspiration from viral videos, whereby someone smears Nutella on an unsuspecting victim to convince them it's, ahem, poo.

However, when Rubee Adams, 22, decided to record her son's reaction to dad, Bobby, pranking him with the chocolate spread, their video also ended up going viral with over a million views due to little Frankie's priceless performance.

Mum posted the video up on Facebook and due to the interesting reaction of her son it was shared over 26,000 times.

It all kicks off when Bobby asks Frankie to fetch him some toilet paper after running out. When his caring son obliges, his naughty dad wipes a blob of Nutella on the lad's arm and just says, "Poo," before the toddler reacts the only way anyone would to being covered in someone else's faeces: with utter disgust.

Even at the tender age of three Frankie's smart enough to know what his dad's done is not ideal, but when his dad proceeded to wipe a bit on his nose, he couldn't take any more and his natural reaction is to gag.

While his parents are having a belly laugh, Frankie tries to get rid of his dad's fake waste by wiping it on the sofa - which doesn't go down well, as mum squeals at him to stop.

As reported on Hull Live, the boy's mum reiterated how hilarious they found the experience: "It was so funny." But it seems the joke has had a lasting affect on the boy, who's now developed a gag reflex at the sight of poop: "His sister, Elsie, is eight months old and whenever she has done a poo he walks around gagging."

And not everyone has reacted with unanimous laughter or positivity. Some have expressed disapproval but Rubee doesn't let that affect her: "There have been a few angry or sad reactions to the post, but I just ignore them."

She went on: "We thought it was the perfect prank to pull on him."

Not taking the backlask to heart, she reiterates: "It's harmless fun, and you can see that Frankie is grinning in the video. We told him it was chocolate straight afterwards and he started laughing."

And to offer context to her and Bobby's practical joke nature, she said that it's not a regular thing: "This is the first time I have ever done anything like this, and it was so funny.

"I keep telling Frankie he's famous and he just keeps saying, 'Yeah'."
