The McDonald's self-service machines have made getting fast food even faster, and it's customisable. While some people have had a laugh by ordering a cheeseburger with just cheese, very few have ordered absolutely nothing. Why would you?

A person on Twitter found out that it actually costs money, 99p ($1.2), to order nothing. Not even the bun, literally nothing: no onion, ketchup, mustard, pickles, cheese, bun or beef patty.

Twitter user Ari says that they initially wanted to get rid of just the gherkin, but then realised that they could take off or add more options. For a laugh, they'd see if it was actually possible to order nothing, and lo and behold it is.

The rest of the social media platform absolutely loved it:

The tweet has been liked by more than 144,000 people, along with more than 63,000 retweets. However, it seems as though Ari, isn't happy with the newfound fame

Poor Ari.

Hopefully the attention settles down soon and life returns to normal.
