Surgeons Pause Midway Through An Operation To Celebrate Penalty Save

Judging from shows like ER, Grey's Anatomy and House, a surgeon's theatre can be an intense room. The slightest distraction could throw the surgeon off and sever an artery or puncture the skin in the wrong place.

But that certainly wasn't the case in this Chilean hospital. As the surgeons, decked out in scrubs, face masks and head caps, perform an operation - a nearby TV is showing the football match between Chile and Portugal.

Despite the surgery being very much active, it appears that everyone pauses to watch Portugal's Joao Moutinho attempt a penalty goal kick, only for it to be saved by Chile's goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.

Everyone erupts into cheers, except of course the person who is being operated on.

Chile went on to win the match, after it was sent into a penalty shootout when the score was locked at 0-0 at full time. But unfortunately for the doctors, the video of them celebrating has gone viral on social media and now authorities are investigating.

According to the Mirror, a member of the Chile government's Health Commission, Karla Rubilar, said: "This is a serious situation. There are protocols that should be followed for the security and respect of all patients in all hospitals and health clinics.

"In this case, all of them were broken."

These surgeons aren't the only ones facing criticism for being unprofessional. Ukrainian Edgar Kaminskyi, 31, often shares graphic snaps and videos of patients lying on the operating table in theatre with their newly-inserted breasts on show.

However, he reckons the women have all agreed to being filmed and it actually boosts his business.

According to Daily Mail, the surgeon told a Ukrainian magazine: ""They sign an appropriate document. I do not take social networks as a mean of communication, only as an advertising engine.

"70 per cent of my clients need a psychologist, not a surgeon.

"During the day I meet 25 new girls and seven of them get undressed in front of me," he said. "I have to listen to them, to understand, to forgive - not a single psychologist has so much work. I am often tired. And I dream of getting back home and playing with my son Leon."

My heart bleeds for you Edgar.
