Ouch.

Getting dumped is never easy. Being the dumper is equally as hard (providing they've done nothing wrong), you've got to find the right words, try to avoid the cliche line of 'it's not you, it's me' and then go about removing yourself from the shared life.

To avoid having to do it face-to-face, or by text (the cop-out way), 19-year-old Kirsten Titus decided to take a much more original approach.

She did it via a Spotify playlist.

And she did it so much better, so much crueller, than finding classic songs like T2's 'Heartbroken', Gloria Gaynor's 'I Will Survive' or Adele's 'Someone Like You'.

The playlist was shared by Kirsten's sister, Erika, who tweeted: "So my sister has gone on a couple of dates with a guy named Wyatt but she likes someone else so she made him a playlist and..."

In full, the song titles together read: 'Do you still want to kiss me because I am kinda lovin someone else but we can still be friends'.

The poor LAD. Instantly people took to Twitter in support of Wyatt, who met Kirsten at Brigham Young University in Utah, US.

Kirsten told BuzzFeed: "We went on a lot of creative dates." The supporting example here is that they planted a cactus on a mountain. Many would argue that there was a different type of prick on the mountain at the end of the day.

"I think the both of us were starting to feel we were better as friends," she added. "I thought if I was going to end things with him I wanted to do it in a creative way."

Of course, Wyatt had to have the last word. He went and created his own playlist, showing the split was amicable and there were no hard feelings.

Or maybe not.

Now, being dumped can have adverse effects on people. Everyone will deal with that heart-breaking moment in different ways.

One LAD conquered his newly single life via discussing his feelings through video games. Well, it was, after all, the reason that his ex dumped him.

For others, luck just doesn't run in their favour. Not only did this fella get dumped by text (poor), but his ex then scooped £61m on the lottery.

The story does have a slightly sweeter taste to it, however, as the lottery ticket was bought to celebrate the girl's mum beating cancer.

For the rest of his life, that guy will only have the phrase 'let's have a look at what you could have won' going around his head.
