Australia Is Annoyed Because Australians Keep Listing The Force As Their Religion

Remember when we all joined Facebook around 2007 and everyone listed their religion as 'Jedi' cause we were young and thought it was hilarious? Apparently, Australians still think it's hilarious.

Yes, every five years Aussies are asked to fill in loadsa documents about their quality of life for a general consensus, and when it comes to religion, a big number of them are listing The Force as their faith.

So much so that there is now a counteract movement called 'Don't Mark Yourself As Jedi', which is trying to steer people away from taking the piss for the 2016 census.

Atheists are up in arms because they feel this triviality appears to make Australia more religious than it might be.

Even as a non-Aussie atheist, I cannot wait to see if the numbers topple that of 2011, when 65,486 Australian citizens marked The Force as their religion.
