While Sydney might have a reputation for being a nanny state, it seems like there is still room for groups to host some sick sounding events.
If you're looking to shake up weekend plans, Jameson has recently announced it will be hosting House of Rounds, a free one-day music festival at Marrickville's Vic on the Park on October 19.
House of Rounds is a celebration of community spirit, people's love for whiskey and of course, live music.

Jameson recently announced Melbourne-born singer Alex Lahey will take to the stage along with the backing of other music legends, including Carmouflage Rose, Ziggy Ramo, Body Type, Stevan, Godtet, and DJ sets from The Delta Riggs and Beryl Streep.
While you've got music to tickle your fancy, you'll also be able to whet your appetite with a smorgosboard of food stalls, spectate a basketball competition as well as shop at the Jameson Ssweatshop where you'll be able to create and print customised merch.
For the whiskey lovers, a blind-folded sensory tasting experience will also take place in a secret location, where punters will be asked to put their whiskey knowledge to the test.
