Mad Shark Jumps Onto Fishing Boat Causing Havoc

Mad Shark Jumps Onto Fishing Boat Causing Havoc

"We're gonna need a bigger boat."

If Deep Blue Sea has taught us anything, it's that Samuel L. Jackson has been in at least one really, really bad film. And also that sharks are arseholes.

Though draped in major plot holes, inaccuracies, bad CGI and all sorts of other ridiculousness, the underlying message of sharks being nothing other than evil bastards prevailed in the 1999 film.

The message still rings true, too, as the teethy predators still lurk through the seas and oceans intimidating fishermen, swimmers and surfers. You'd assume, however, that sharks would protest that they're seriously misunderstood.

This fella doesn't seem so misunderstood, though. The Mako jumped aboard a boat, then wriggled about, menacing at the crew while blood poured from its mouth.

Filmed off the coast of Long Island in New York fishermen were caught off guard when the Mako leaped from the water onto the deck of their vessel.

The beast got trapped beneath the guard rail at the bow of the boat, under which it squirmed in an attempt to set itself free.

Thankfully, the shark's mouth is covered in its own blood, rather than that of an innocent angler, as it chomped down on the rail repeatedly to try and make an escape route. Still, very frightening.

The quick thinking crew, not wanting to lose any limbs, steered clear of direct contact with it, with Captain Don Law, from Outlaw Fishing Charters, tying a rope around its fin and another man keeping its head straight by hooking it with a fishing line.

They humanly lowered the Mako back into the waters, as the Captain quoted Chief Martin Brody, saying "we're gonna need a bigger boat," rather than Russell Franklin, who'd presumably say "motherfucker."

Luckily us Brits don't really have to worry about the perils that shark's bring, as the waters surrounding our island are filled with trolleys, wheelie bins and mythical creatures.

That could all be about to change however, as Graeme Pullen, a shark expert, has recently claimed that there is a Great White that's hunting in the region of some very popular British beaches.

The fishing journalist said he's been chasing the killer beast off the south coast for almost two years, hoping he could catch it.

"Make no mistake, this is the big one," he said. "This is surely Britain's first Great White - and it'll be coming back this summer.

"The danger is this shark will eventually stumble across someone in a wetsuit and mistake them for a seal."

Pullen believes the shark has been sighted on numerous occasions just off Hampshire's Hayling Island for the last couple of years.

"This is no Basking shark," he added. "No Porbeagle, Blue or Mako. Others have also given details of their sighting and this is not miles out to sea but close to shore, mostly hunting in the estuaries."

Is this literally not just the plot of Jaws?
