Ex-Army LAD Goes to Disneyland Every Day for the Last Five Years

Ex-Army LAD Goes to Disneyland Every Day for the Last Five Years

It has transformed his life

Everyone has their own routine. John Terry is so superstitious that he does his best to urinate in the same stall before each match, which may prove difficult now that he's gone to Villa. Kolo Toure always makes sure he's the last of his teammates on the pitch, while Laurent Blanc used to always kiss Fabian Barthez's big bald head for luck before matches, though he might have just liked the baby-bottom feel of Big B's bonce.

But on this most American of days (Independence Day, yo), we're here to celebrate a man who goes about his life in a manner so American it could only be topped by an Baseball player riding a Golden Eagle through the Rocky Mountains.

Army veteran Jeff Reitz goes to Disneyland every day. Not just every weekend, or every week day, but every single, goddamn day, according to NowThisNews. To be fair to him, this LAD has his reasons.

"It was something to do to keep things fun," said the 44-year-old from Huntington Beach, CA, to the Orange County Register. In his defence, is only a short, 30-minute car ride from California's Anaheim Disneyland. I've been there. It's cocking awesome. I wasn't even a kid when I went. I mean, I was 15. Yes, I was a minor, but I was supposed to be chasing girls and drinking cider on park benches. I did the latter when I got home, but honest to God, Disney was better.

Jeff began going to the park with a pal when he lost his job, and has kept the habit up for around 2,000 solid days (though he does have a job now). He also keeps parking tickets as evidence. In the process, he's met a nice girlfriend, Karen, and made a bunch of friends. One video shows Jeff (rocking a Santa beard) hanging out with Goofy. He clearly knows the broke student/struggling actor in the costume Goofs very well, they look like besties, and dog is a man's best friend, even when dressed in a giant, swelteringly hot costume.

Other videos show Jeff (wearing a giant 'Jeff' badge) with Dumbo the elephant behind him, riding rollercoasters with a big smile on his face and throwing a lucky penny (a quarter maybe, or a dime) into a fountain. All in all, while it might seem a bit strange for someone to go to the same theme park every day for five years, he looks like he's having a whale of a time, and as offices go, it's one of the better ones. I mean, it has roller coasters. And fireworks. And hot dogs.

"If I'm having a bad day at work or need to be cheered up now, Disneyland is an equivalent," he told the Disney Examiner.

Jeff says going to the park reminds him of being on army duty, when he'd go watch a film or go out for a meal after a bad day, while his Disney-park jaunts have also helped him lost 18 kilos.

Mickey Mouse. New Girlfriend. Loads of new mates. Weight loss.

You win, Jeff. You win.
