Hong Kong's New Year's Eve Firework Display Was Absolutely Incredible

Talk about doing it in style.

Here in the UK, we still have a few hours left of 2016. Luckily, once that's done we can say goodbye to all the stuff that has happened and welcome the new year with open arms. It's a fresh start.

Sadly, the chances are that 2017 is going to be just as shit (if not shitter) so we can probably celebrate a nice, clean year for about two hours before something else happens. It's like when you clean the kitchen and then someone comes in and starts making food. Can we not just have it nice for TWO SECONDS?! Damn.

Sadness aside, look at these cool fireworks that Hong Kong used to celebrate the start of a new calendar.

People took to Twitter in their droves to gush over the incredible display.

According to social media, some of the fireworks were in the shape of emojis. Damn, that's cool.
