There are a lot of collecting hobbies that have come and gone.

Your nan may still have her stamp collection somewhere. You may even still be hoarding Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards somewhere.

But any of those are nowhere near as good as Serge Zaka's collection of McDoanld's boxes.

He's not just a lazy bastard who can't be arsed taking his rubbish to the bin after a hangover Maccies - he's traveled far and wide to bring home a 300-strong collection of foreign fast food boxes.

26-year-old Serge, who has traveled to places like Portugal, Switzerland and Germany, tasting Maccies along the way, claims that his hobby actually offers cultural learnings.

Speaking to Fast and Food, he said: "In France or Switzerland, for example, there are hamburgers to local cheeses. In India, the beef being sacred, the chain has expanded its range of vegetarian or chicken burgers.

"In Germany, the famous McSauerkraut with his steak, three sausages and cabbage was offered in limited edition."

"In Portugal, there is a soup section. In Quebec, it is forbidden to use English on the boxes."

It appears that we as a nation are also being shit on when it comes to McDonald's. Serge has come across the likes of Mc Choucroutes, McPizzas, McBites, McCroissants, McRibs, and all sorts of goodness that should definitely make its way over to these shores.

I wouldn't mind a cheeky round the world trip with Serge, just to see what his growing popularity could bring.
