Earlier this month, we told you why men, including the almighty Thor - AKA Chris Hemsworth - are walking around with one finger nail painted red.

The Polished Man campaign was set up by YGAP. It launched after damning statistics showed that one in five children worldwide are subjected to abuse before the age of 18. Considering that most of us have five fingers on each hand, it all makes perfect sense.

Since launching, many more celebrities have donated and supported YGAP in the bid to end violence against children worldwide.

Zac Efron, Gabriel Macht and Tyler Blackburn are among the other celebs to have recently 'nailed it' after posting photographs on their Instagram profiles.

The movement, which has previously run in Australia and the US, has raised $607,298 to date. This has funded emergency relief and preventative programmes around the world.

"After two successful years of Polished Man in Australia and the US, we felt it was important to bring this message to the UK," said CEO of YGAP Elliot Costello. "We hope to see men across the country painting one fingernail to support our mission to end violence against children."

So, in a bid to raise awareness and to end violence against children worldwide, who's with me?

I only had permanent marker lying around in the office but you get the idea. #PolishedMan

All funds raised through Polished Man are channelled into trauma recovery and trauma prevention programmes for children who have suffered or are at risk of suffering from violence globally.
