Usain Bolt Reveals What He And Andre De Grasse Said To Each Other After Their Semi-Final

Shared a laugh on the finishing line.

Here's something funny and ludicrous in equal measure: Usain Bolt was beast moding it so much in his 200m semi-final that he had disposable time to have a laugh with Andre de Grasse as they neared the finishing line.

Bolt was pictured laughing with Canadian Andre de Grasse during the race, where the two finished first and second respectively.

Visibly amused, the Jamaican athlete looked surprised to see de Grasse creeping up to him in the closing feet of their sprint. Given that it was the semi-final, and the two were both clearly going to make the cut, the fact that de Grasse, 21, was having it large struck a chord with Bolt.

"Andre was supposed to slow down. He didn't," Bolt said afterwards in an interview with the BBC.

"I said: 'What are you doing, it is the semi-finals?' He said he had to push me."

It's particularly funny and tragic to see the other runners in the backdrop panting, sweating buckets, dying to share the same patter with Bolt and de Grasse.

One day at a time, lads. You'll get there in the end.
