WATCH: Barack Obama Defends Trump Heckler At A Rally

You might have thought Barack Obama would've retired the old 'Hey, let's be patient and kind to people shouting at me at public appearances' schtick in his final months as President and indulged in flat-out violence, but he's still a real easy-going, stand-up guy.

At a Democratic rally in North Carolina yesterday he confirmed this to be true by dealing with a Trump supporter booing, shouting and holding a placard in the audience. More specifically, an elder male, whose boos were returned. The President wasn't exactly down with it.

Here's the relevant part of the speech.

"Now, listen up! I'm serious, listen up," he stated. "You've got an older gentleman who is supporting his candidate. He's not doing nothing. You don't have to worry about him. This is what I mean about folks not being focused."

"First of all, we live in a country that respects free speech.

"So, second of all, it looks like maybe he might have served in our military, and we've got to respect that.

"Third of all, he was elderly, and we've got to respect our elders.

"And fourth of all, don't boo..."

The NC Democrats then shouted 'Vote!' - a growing trend among rallies of the sort.
