Elon Musk is on a mission and though his ambitions are lofty, he's not afraid to put his money and his tech development where his mouth his.
Yesterday, he unveiled the Tesla Model 3 and it's the first low price-high volume electric car in the world.
Concerned about carbon emissions, Musk spoke about his 'Master Plan' to transition the world towards 'sustainable transport' - something that started with his high price-low volume Model S and Model X.

People are obviously buying into his vision. This Australian man bought the new Model 3 without even seeing it:
Musk also praised the people who went out and bought his previous electric vehicles because they paid for the development of Model 3.
Now, the Model 3. On a single battery charge, the car can travel 215 miles and can do 0-60 in less than six seconds. Musk also promised there will be faster versions. A 30 minute battery charge can add 170 miles to the distance the car can go when it's low on juice.

Inside, the Model 3 can seat five adults and has an awesome all-encompassing 15-inch touchscreen dash which doubles as 'infotainment' and instrumentation.
There's also a clever semi-autonomous Autopilot feature that handles acceleration and lane changes in highway traffic.

Starting at $35,000, 134,000 units have been ordered in just 24 hours with production set to start in late 2017.
The Model 3 is truly the first step towards emission-free transport and has been described as reaching 'tech stardom'.
Here's to a clean future!
