Craig David Fuels Rumours That He Died And Was Replaced By A Body Double

Wait... what?!

Apparently there's a conspiracy theory doing the rounds that Craig David died a few years ago and was replaced with a body double.

Yes. This is an actual thing. A quick search of Twitter shows that a lot of people actually were under the impression that * *adopting Bo' Selecta! voice* Craig David died ages ago. To be fair, after Slicker Than Your Average, he did pretty much disappear off the face of the Earth.

Maybe the constant ribbing got to him so much that he needed a break? Or... did he DIE?!

His fans were clearly distraught. The only thing that they could possibly cling on to was the hope that one day Our Craig would finally return to the airwaves and bless us with his presence once again.

Our prayers were answered. Mr Seven Days returned. But he looked... different?

Before 'the swap'...

And after...

He kind of looks like a robot version of himself. Like someone decided to make a Craig David 2.0 and go all out when it came to upgrades.

The conspiracy theory got so big that Craig himself has actually addressed it. But rather than make us all feel better about the situation, he instead decided to answer the question in the vaguest way ever.

Speaking to podcast It's All Connected, he said: "That could well be the case, you never know what the deal is. And that stunt double is coming through well. It's almost like being reborn.

"He took the baton and he's like, 'OK, great. Cool, that was nice. What you did on Born To Do It and Slicker Than Your Average was nice. Let me take that baton from you.'"

He even speaks like a robot.

Does anyone feel any better about the whole situation? No, me neither. The only thought that's going to keep me warm at night is that if someone was really going to get replaced, it probably wouldn't be Craig David.
