Typecasting is usually the price you pay for entering a popular movie franchise. The only way to avoid it, judging by the history books, is to become involved with another at the same time. Harrison Ford, for example, managed to avoid being stereotyped as Han Solo by also starring in the hugely popular Indiana Jones.

It looks like his Star Wars: The Force Awakens co-star Daisy Ridley could follow suit.

The English actress might be in line for the starring role in the Tomb Raider reboot, which thrust Angelina Jolie into the public conscious a decade ago.

Though far from being confirmed, Ridley is, according to Deadline, "one of a number of actresses being considered" for the film. The film is still in the early stages and producers aren't ready to commit to one actress just yet.

Based on the video games, the film will follow Brit archaeologist Lara Croft doing her usual schtick, travelling the globe. Very similar to Indiana Jones, which director Roar Uthaug claims is an influence. He told IGN "Raiders of the Lost Ark was one of my favorite films growing up, so it's definitely a dream to work in that kind of genre."

We'll have to keep our eyes pealed. But this would be sick.
