I reckon if we told pre-fame Ed Sheeran that he was going to get his face sliced open by a sword-wielding princess in the future, he'd tell us to stop smoking drugs. And then he'd write a song about it.

However, that is exactly what's happened. I know, it's weird. Apparently when you're famous, you hang out with the likes of Princess Beatrice and James Blunt and you pretend to knight each other. Sounds like a wild party.

Ed was 'rushed' to hospital after Princess Bea swung a sword behind her head to 'knight' James Blunt (presumable for Services to Banter), but she didn't realise the ginger guitarist was stood behind her. Bit clumsy.

Luckily, Ed's moneymaker is his talent and not his face, so he seems very unphased by the whole thing. He's been happily posing with fans with the cut clearly visible on his face.



The incident took place at Royal Lodge in Windsor, which is home to the Duke of York, Prince Andrew (Bea's dad).

A source told the Mirror: "He could have been blinded. Beatrice was deeply upset and inconsolable."

Alright, calm down everyone. I've had worse cuts shaving.

James Blunt had this to say of Ed Sheeran:

'Don't worry Ed, you're still beautiful. If anything you look more like a wise man. You've got a really warm heart, as hot as a bonfire and Beatrice will never make the same mistake'.

Ok, so he didn't say any of that.

P.S. Ed, if you're back in the U.K. - come to Manchester. I want in on your wild parties.

And you Blunty, you absolute legend.
