Lawyer Ditches Career To Become A Model

Welcome to 2016.

Although we all take the piss out of 'Instagram models', there's no denying that we'd jump at the chance to ditch our day jobs to make a shitload of money for lying on beaches.

Just imagine being offered £150,000 to take a picture of yourself lying around wearing some UGG boots or a Michael Kors watch or whatever it is young people wear nowadays. Easiest job in the world.

One of those people who can demand insane figures just for posting a picture on the internet is Pia Meuhlenbeck, a qualified lawyer who has ditched the corporate world in pursuit of a career in modelling and blogging.

The German native who now lives in Sydney, Australia, has her own luxury sportswear line and is a market editor for Grazia - all while boosting her profile using social media.

Pia has already amassed over 1.2 million followers on Instagram and has over 480,000 likes on her Facebook page, despite only venturing into modelling about 18 months ago. Insane.

"To think that just over a year ago, I was starting out on the path to work as a Lawyer! What a ride!" she wrote on her blog Finding the Finer a couple of weeks ago.

"Since I graduated a lot has changed, I started my sportswear label, SLINKII, and started posting my looks on social media.

"My Instagram account in particular started to gain traction and next minute (well... a year later...) I had 1m followers. Everything has been a little crazy since that point!"

Despite this quick rise to success, Pia remains down to earth and actually donates some of the money her label makes to charity. That's nice of her, isn't it?

Not a bad life.
