It's fair to say Paris Jackson and Macaulay Culkin have a bit in common: the former child actor and the daughter of the child-pop-star-turned-global-musical-sensation.
Macaulay, 36, best known for the Home Alone films, was famously good friends with 19-year-old Paris' dad Michael, and is also her godfather - now they've cemented their friendship by getting matching tattoos, and on the anniversary of Michael's death to boot.
The pair are often snapped out and about together around Los Angeles, and this Saturday, they took that to the next level.
The tattoos themselves - which were shared as an Instagram story by Paris after the event - were cryptic. Paris' is a thin black and white repeating pattern with a loop at the top, similar to a spoon or a tennis racket while Macaulay's is the reverse, with the loop at the bottom.
Both had it inked on their lower arms.
Paris is no stranger to the tattoo studio. She told Rolling Stone in January that she has over 50 tats on her body - make that at least 51 now then - including depictions of her father's Dangerous album cover and tributes to other musical legends like David Bowie, Prince and John Lennon.
It isn't clear how many Macaulay has - just that this one is the first on his lower arm. Ironically, Culkin has recently eschewed his rock star look of recent years, chopping his hair and generally smartening up his image after a brief outing as the lead singer in a pizza-themed rock band.
Culkin hasn't appeared in a major feature film since 2003's Party Monster, and hasn't appeared in a dramatic role of any kind since a run in TV show Kings back in 2009.
Paris Jackson is a model, the daughter of superstar Michael and his former wife Debbie Rowe. She is signed to IMG Models and has made brief television appearances as an actress.
Her first feature film role is slated for a 2018 release, a movie called Gringo that will also feature David Oyelowo, Joel Egerton, Charlene Theron and Amanda Seyfried.
Perhaps she can pick up a few tips from her illustrious godfather - if he can remember what a film set looks like.
