Robert Downey Jr made a young Iron Man fan's day after visiting him at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The film's star spent Monday afternoon meeting young patients on the cancer ward. The visit was organised by Disney, known for their work with hospital's charity. Since 2008, they've raised over £10 million.

One patient in particular, seven-year-old Ethan Miller, who suffers from ITP - a rare blood disease - landed a photo with the actor while wearing his Iron Man costume.

Ethan's dad, Lee, said: 'Ethan has been in and out of hospital a lot in the past three years.

'He watches the films all the time and virtually lives in his Iron Man costume.

'Ethan was over the moon to meet his hero and it has really helped to lift his spirits.'

Downey is currently in London for the premiere of his new film, Captain America: Civil War.

'The highlight of the Captain America: Civil War tour has been visiting the patients, families and staff at Great Ormond Street Hospital.' Downey said.

'Their courage, strength and hope leaves me humbly inspired.'
