For the vast majority of us, when that yearning for cheese-laden Italian flatbread hits, the first port of call is to give Domino's a shout.

However, when you're one of the world's number one tennis players and your main squeeze is a multi-millionaire tech entrepreneur, it's fair to say your options open up a little.

That's what Serena Williams discovered over the weekend when she found herself with a hankering for some Italian scran. But instead on just putting an order in, husband Alexis Ohanian decided to take things a step further instead.

Rather than having the food come to them, Serena and Alexis went to the food and boarded a flight to Italy, where they remained in a plush villa for a week, Buzzfeed reports.

The swanky pad came complete with a hatched roof for falling asleep beneath the stars. Alexis even sent his drone up through it to give us all a good look at what we were missing, and posted pictures with the caption: "She wanted Italian for dinner, so..."

It was all because Serena had hinted that she wanted some Italian food. Some would call it romantic. Others might say it was excessive.

However, regardless of what you think, you'd probably be lying if you said you didn't wish you could do the same.

Whichever way you look at it, it's a nice gesture. But would you really expect anything else from such a close-knit family unit.

Together with their daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian, the couple are one of the sweetest celebrity families out there. But having a child grow up in the spotlight isn't without its concerns.

"She's obviously going to have a very special life," Alexis Sr. said in an interview with Vogue. "But there are enough cautionary tales about kids who grow up in the spotlight.

"How do you make your kid live in reality when your own reality is so . . . unreal? This kid is going to have more Instagram followers than me in about three weeks."

"We're not spending a day apart until she's eighteen," Serena added.

"Now that I'm 36 and I look at my baby, I remember that this was also one of my goals when I was little, before tennis took over, when I was still kind of a normal girl who played with dolls."
