A big happy birthday to Christian Bale, one of the true greats to emerge from Britain, make it in the movies, and then go on to adopt a weird fusion of American and Australian when giving interviews. Hey, who cares? It's Christian Bale. What he does, or says, goes.
Here at LADbible, we love the guy. From child star to American Psycho, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, through to The Fighter and American Hustle, Christian Bale has been in his fair share of both niche and mainstream films, and is known for his method acting.
In preparation for the filming of Bret Easton Ellis' book American Psycho, Bale forced himself into a strict workout and diet regimen. For Batman Begins, he went around the streets walking into people's coughs to enhance Bruce Wayne's husky voice.

Perhaps his finest moment, though, happened off-camera, on the set of 2009's Terminator Salvation. Irate at the fact Director of Photography, who had apparently walked about and distracted Bale during a scene, the actor called cut and went fucking nuts. Let's relive it, shall we?
Bale later apologised 'unreservedly' for the outburst, saying he was "out of order beyond belief. I make no excuses for it."
He added: "There is nobody who has heard that tape who has been hit harder than me. The one thing that disturbs me so much is that I've heard a lot of people saying that I seem to think that I'm better than anybody else.

"Nothing could be farther from the truth. I am a lucky man, I never forget that and that is why I put so much into what I do, and why I care so much about it and why sometimes that enthusiasm just goes awry."
While we're here, let's also give praise to the Family Guy parody of the recording, starring Peter Griffin.
