Well, that's embarrassing.

Airport security requires you to sometimes spill out the contents of your hand luggage, very publicly, for strangers to rummage through.

Many understand the potential embarrassment that this could cause, if anyone felt it was acceptable to carry sex toys, for example, in their hand luggage. As a precautionary measure, they safely hide their 'other devices' in their main luggage.

But not even that guarantees them going inconspicuously under the radar and onto the aircraft.

Luggage was being hauled onto an aircraft at at Chiang Mai airport in Thailand ahead of departure when one of the handlers noticed one bag vibrating.

In fear that the large rucksack was packed full of explosives, the workers radioed for bomb disposal experts to take it from there and the plane was forced to remain grounded.

Despite the suspicious package, experts teared open the rucksack only to reveal that the vibrating was coming from a discrete silver sex toy.

"We checked it and found it was safe to take on the plane so we put back in the bag," said one of the handlers who wished not be identified.

The airline staff opted not to tell the passenger they had inadvertently caused the security scare, reports the Daily Mail. "I think they would be deeply embarrassed if they found out," the baggage handler said.
