A man's dying wish was granted when doctors wheeled him to his wife's bed in intensive care so that they could hold hands one last time.
Jim Minnini, 58, had terminal lung cancer and when his condition worsened and it was obvious that his time was running out, he pleaded to be with his wife Cindy one last time.
In April, just a day after her husband was taken into intensive care, Cindy had a heart attack and was rushed to hospital in Brockville, Ontario.

So that the couple could have one last moment together, doctors transferred Cindy to Kingston General Hospital, also in Ontario, where her husband was spending his final days.
Although Cindy was sedated and unconscious, the 'inseparable' couple of 24 years were reunited.
"For about four or five days, we were going back and forth [between the two hospitals]" their son Chris told The Whig.

"When my dad found out that he was going, he was stiff faced and shook his head. But when he found out that my mom was in the next room in the ICU, he started bawling."
Chris took photographs of his parents' final moment together so that his mum would know she was with her soul mate when he died.
"After that picture was taken, he held her."

"He was there as long as he could be physically, until his body started to shut down and they needed to take him back."
Jim sadly passed away just a few hours later.
Cindy is now back at home recovering and said that the pictures have helped her find peace.
"He would have just kept hanging on. He wouldn't have left if he hadn't been able to say goodbye to her,'" Chris said.
