Daniel Radcliffe Confesses About His Harry Potter Mega Money

He has hardly spent any of it.

Having amassed an incredible £75 million fortune, it's a wonder why Daniel Radcliffe still works at all. I'd have my feet up, mate.

The actor found fame in 2001, aged 11, when the first film from the Harry Potter franchise came to the big screen. Since then, he claims that the money he has earned off the back of the biggest opportunity in his career has not changed him as a person.

Although we would usually call 'bullshit' on any actor when making such a bold statement, I think I believe him.

While many of us could spend as little as half-an-hour planning how we would spend Radcliffe's mega bucks, the actor is a little more sensible than most of us.

"I don't really do anything with my money," the 27-year-old said. "I'm very grateful for it, because having money means you don't have to worry about it, which is a very lovely freedom to have. It also gives me immense freedom career-wise."

His bank manager must love him! Bit of a difference from our student loans!

From the seven Harry Potter films, Radcliffe was, at one point in his career, one of the most recognisable people on the planet. Despite making it big time in the world of showbiz, he didn't allow the fame or the fortune to go to his head.

After the success that followed the seven award-winning Harry Potter films, Radcliffe focused his acting on indie films such as The Woman In Black, Kill Your Darlings and Horns.

"For all the people who've followed my career, I want to give them something to be interested in, rather than just make loads of money on crap films for the rest of my life," he said.

Speaking about how growing up in the spotlight influenced him, Radcliffe admitted that the difficulty lies with "working out who you are" and dealing with the constant scenario of "coming up against a perception of yourself that everybody else already has."

Radcliffe stars in new movie Imperium, in which he plays an FBI agent undercover as a neo-Nazi. It required him to shave his head and have a swastika tattoo, which, he has admitted to the Mirror, was weird to have applied each day in make-up. I bet.

Radcliffe, lighten up, life is for the living and you're fucking minted, mate! At least treat yourself to a Porsche (or two) for good measure.
