I suppose 2016 isn't so bad because the Fresh Prince of Bel Air is coming to Netflix.

Come December 31st, users will be treated to HQ episodes of the classic sitcom.

Fresh Prince originally premiered in 1990, lasting six seasons. It has now gone on to achieve a devoted, cult status among both older and younger generations.

Unlike it's counterparts, Fresh Prince managed to balance gravitas and comedy, dealing with topics like racism and domestic struggles, as well as platforming the more absurd side: Carlton's dancing.

The announcement follows news that Fresh Prince is next in line to be revamped for modern audiences.

Speaking about the possibility of returning to a reboot, Will smith recently confirmed he wouldn't be interested.

He told Entertainment Tonight: "I'm not doing it. If somebody wanted to, I would probably let them, but I have no intention."

Discussing how the youthful zest of the character stays with him to this day, he added: "There's a natural silliness that I gravitate to, so I think more than looking the same, I think energetically there's a fun and a zeal and a joy that I embody that gives that impression," he said. "I really enjoy what I do. I have fun every day in my life."
