James Corden doesn't usually do much wrong so it shouldn't come as a surprise to us that he paid a fitting tribute to Gene Wilder.
Former actor Wilder died at the age of 83 having suffered from complications related to Alzheimer's Disease.

The whole world has been mourning the loss of a true great,
who made his name in Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory and other movies
such as Blazing Saddles. The guy was a legend!
Wilder has fans around the world and that includes Corden.
At the beginning of his CBS American TV programme, The Late, Late Show, which can also be seen in the UK via Sky and Now TV and their on-demand services, Corden told a class tale to sum up Wilder.

Corden, who spent time in theatre in New York City in his early career, revealed he first met Wilder after a play.
It turns out that, despite his star value, Wilder was just chatting with Corden like any guy would about the Englishman's family and life in New York.
Like any of us, Corden tried to follow things up by asking Wilder via email to appear on his opening show of The Late, Late Show.
However, Wilder, channelling Willy Wonka, replied in a style which epitomised his class.
If that doesn't sum up the genius of Wilder, I don't know what does. R.I.P.
