Late last week Britain's Got Talent's Pudsey died aged 11. The adorable little pooch helped his owner Ashleigh Butler won the talent show back in 2012, and she took to social media to pay tribute to her dog saying: "I can't honestly believe I am writing these words. My handsome man has gone, and I don't know what to do without him."

Today, in an interview on This Morning, Pudsey's owner Ashleigh Butler broke down in tears over the loss of her dog and I'm sure anyone who's lost a pet can relate.

Speaking to Ruth and Eamonn she spoke about having to make the devastating decision to have little Pudsey put to sleep.

Through tears, she said: "I was actually at a dog show with him last weekend and he wasn't himself and I took him to the vet."

The vet told her Pudsey had leukaemia, after which he deteriorated rapidly.

"It was sad because it was so quick. He was 11 and he was going to be 12 in December. Pudsey was very special, it was almost like he could read my mind."

At home animal-lovers were left in bits after Ashleigh's appearance:

She also went on to say the dog had given her opportunities she never thought she'd have. Ashleigh appeared with her other dog, Sully, before confirming she wouldn't be changing the dog's name to Pudsey.
