Wolverine, Professor X, Gambit and co. have spent the majority of their time on the big screen, rather than the small screen.
In fact it's been nearly 20 years sicne the X-Men had their own TV series.

But good news, virgins, FOX has ordered a pilot script for a potential series.
Variety magazine reports that the show will "focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive." Cool!
FOX Entertainment president David Madden spoke to the magazine about the upcoming project:
"Developing a Marvel property has been a top priority for the network - and we are so pleased with how Matt Nix has led us into this thrilling universe. There's comic book adventure, emotional and complicated relationships, and a rich, existing mythology from which to draw. With the brilliant production crew behind this project, it has all the makings of a big, fun and exciting new series."

To be fair, I spent many a day binge watching that X-men show. I hope it's decent enough for the youth of today. Hopefully, it gets them off the streets playing Pokémon Go and back in the great indoors.
Here's the opening credits to X-Men all those years ago! Now that was a bangin' tune!
