In what may be the best news in a long time, eating one egg per day may reduce your chances of having a stroke by 12 percent.

For some reason, all I can think about is this movie scene right now.

I believe the scene is from 1994 cult classic Once Were Warriors but I may be wrong.

Anyway, here's what lead researcher of the EpidStat Institute, Michigan, US, Dominik Alexander said about the spherical goodness:

"Eggs do have many positive nutritional attributes, including antioxidants, which have been shown to reduce oxidative stress and inflammation. They are also an excellent source of protein, which has been related to lower blood pressure."

The researchers conducted a review of studies dating between 1982 and 2015, assessing relationships between egg-eating and coronary heart disease and strokes in over 275,000 participants. Basically, it's not one of these rubbish studies with six people taking part.

Tia M. Rains of the Egg Nutrition Center, added: "The study underscores prior research, showing the lack of a relationship between eggs and heart disease and now suggests a possible beneficial effect of eating eggs on risk of stroke." Yes, there is such a thing as the Egg Nutrition Center!

Does this mean one egg specifically? Or all of the eggs? Personally, I'm a scrambled type of fella. After that, fried, and then poached, and then hard boiled. What about you guys?
